Energy Technologies Exhibits Latest Designs at AUSA Annual Meeting and Exhibition

AUSA Annual Meeting and Exhibition to be held October 22-24 in Washington, DC at the Washington DC Convention Center.

Expanded Tactical Power® Generator, Inverter, UPS, Solar and Fuel Cell Product Lines to be featured.

Energy Technologies, Inc. (ETI), the Standard in rugged power conditioning, will be exhibiting its expanded Tactical Power rugged Fuel Cell, Inverter, Generator, Solar and UPS product lines. Featured products will include:

The Tactical Power lines of AC and DC products are readily deployable providing Warfighters and First Responders with reliable computer or medical grade power for all field applications. These rugged units are designed to be deployable worldwide and can operate from any AC power in a given country or from the 12 VDC or 24 VDC in HMMWV, other military vehicles  and aircraft.

The Tactical Solar family consist of rugged, flexible solar panels, charge controllers and complete portable solar power solutions including solar UPS in water-tight cases for global applications in hostile environments. These systems range from small, light-weight solar totes for individual use in powering and/or charging notebooks and radios to larger deployable systems with AC and DC battery backup for 24-7 operations of complete networks or communications systems.

The Tactical Inverter Series are totally self-contained in rugged enclosures with NATO connections for quick no-tool setup. These inverters range in power output from 150 watts to 10,000 watts and are  available in transit case or universal mount with cabling to quickly connect to NATO Slave connectors found in most military vehicles including HMMWV, Stryker, Abrams and other tactical vehicles. They produce clean sinewave AC at 120 VAC, 60 hertz allowing the use of both military grade and commercial electronics.

The Tactical UPS units range in output from 250 VA to 24,000 VA, which is more than adequate to support the critical electronic computer and communications equipment in most applications. They are designed to accept commercial power or mobile generator power ranging from 85 to 270 VAC. The input frequency can range from 45 to 440 hertz allowing even the use of aircraft power. These voltages and frequencies cover all standard AC voltages worldwide. The UPS converts these inputs to standard 120 VAC, 60 hertz used by most electronic equipment manufactured in the USA. This allows the use of standard military equipment including commercial off the shelf (COTS) to be operated reliably anywhere in the world. Other output voltages with 50, 60, 400 or 1000 hertz output frequency are also available. Besides converting the voltage and frequency, the ETI UPS eliminates all the voltage and frequency fluctuations, transients and distortions, providing only clean sinusoidal power to the crucial equipment.

Tactical Generator advantages include using diesel, JP-8 and JP-5 fuels, being lighter weight with quieter operation. Unlike most generators, one Tactical Generator P/N can produce high-quality 50, 60, 400 or 1000 Hz AC and/or DC suitable for direct use with electronic equipment.

Tactical Power Plant combines the advantages of ETI's generator, inverter and UPS products into a small deployable package. TPP can use local AC input, vehicle DC input and/or its own generator to produce clean, uninterrupted power to the command center continuously.

ETI's Tactical Fuel Cells are being incorporated into the TPP in place of the engine-generator. These fuels cells offer a unique metal-hydride approach over traditional PEM technologies. Compared to PEM, they are more rugged, operate over a wider temperature range, do not have expensive platinum that is subject to poisoning, store energy like a battery and have instant start capability; all advantages needed in a tactical environment.

The new Tactical Field Office is a modular office system that provides the convenience of a modern office, yet is deployable worldwide at a moment's notice. These systems are comprised of various modules configured to meet the needs of your applications. These modules include a Tactical Desk™ (1-4 personal workstations that fold into a small cubic shipping container);  Tactical UPS or Power Conditioner built-in; Notebook Power Station™ (slide-out tray to support a  notebook or printer while providing clean power, multiple USB ports and additional cooling for a notebook or printer); and Tactical Task Light™ (easily positioned, energy efficient, dimmable LED lighting to illuminate your work space that is equivalent to a 100 watt light bulb while using less than 10 watts of energy).

With Tactical Shelter Systems, ETI has teamed with Utilis USA to offer complete systems solutions for deployable shelters. Utilis manufactures a series of rapidly deployable tactical soft-wall shelters. By combining ETI's portable power sources, either company can offer a total solution to deployable shelter requirements.

ETI products are already successfully deployed in military and industrial applications worldwide. For example,

Energy Technologies, Inc. (ETI) provides field proven reliability in its cost effective, well-engineered products. These product solutions cover the production, conditioning, storage and control of AC and DC power in a wide range of environments. These rugged products meet the demands and rigors of military, government, industrial, medical and telecommunications sectors. Mobile applications include shipboard, submarine, vehicular, aircraft and field deployment. Stationary applications consist of factories, process plants, utilities, networks, even offshore platforms and desert installations. The Rugged Systems™ and Military Power® lines are comprised of intelligent UPS, power distribution units, frequency converters, and battery systems. The intelligent features include the ability to monitor and control the equipment and their loads via local and/or remote interfaces such as SNMP and HTTP. Tactical Power versions operate from all voltages and frequencies worldwide including aircraft or vehicular power. Airborne Power® units provide frequency conversion and backup power aboard commercial or military aircraft to provide 50, 60, 400, or 1000 hertz power to operate commercial equipment. TelecomPower™ covers telecommunications grade DC rectifiers, chargers and battery systems. The Medical Grade Power™ includes AC and DC power products for both stationary and mobile applications that meet the stringent requirements of medical applications.

Each product is modular in design and may be configured to suit a particular application or integrated into a total system solution. All lines are available as either Military Grade (Mil Spec) or Commercial Off The Shelf (COTS).
